5 Tips to find your correct size

Did you know that most of us wear the wrong bra size?

Choosing a bra online is not as easy as it sounds. The size of our breasts varies throughout our menstrual cycle and not all women have the same back-to-breast proportions that determine our bra size and cup.

These tips will help you learn to find your correct lingerie size and feel comfortable and safe wearing any bra.

Ready? Let’s go!

Did you know that the bra band provides 90% of the bra support?

Therefore, it should fit comfortably around your torso, staying just below your breasts, hugging your body and parallel to the ground, without going up your back or being too low. When your bra is new, ideally fit it on the loosest hook so that if it gives with use, you can place it on the next hook, thus controlling a smoother fit for longer.

The bra underwire, if you are wearing one, should fit completely around your chest, without digging in or slipping too far down.

At UMA Intimates we do not use underwires, as we want to respect the natural and feminine shape of your breast, without elements that are uncomfortable for our bodies or the health of our breasts.

This will depend on the volume of your breasts.

The entire breast must be gathered inside the cup. It is important that you know your shape and experiment with different cuts, depths, styles, and materials.

The straps provide 10% of the total support of your bra, their main job is to keep the cups close to the body.

Try adjusting the straps so that only one finger fits between the shoulder and the strap. If the strap adjustment causes the band to rise, the band may be too loose. The straps should not slip with the movement and make sure the band and straps fit snugly against your body.

The most important thing about a bra is that it makes you feel good.

Our bodies have a unique formology and there will always be a type of bra that feels better than another, gently hugging your breasts.

We hope these tips help you find your perfect bra online shopping . When a bra suits us and makes us feel good, it can multiply the sensuality that resides in us.

How do I measure myself?

You will need to wear a basic bra, without push-up or underwire or one that puts too much pressure on your breasts.

This will allow for better measurement. Bring the tape measure around your body where your breast is fullest.

Make sure to keep the tape straight and level with the ground, not too tight or too loose.

Record this measurement by rounding to the nearest whole number and repeat the same step by bringing the tape measure around your torso just below your breasts.

Bring the tape measure around your hips, as indicated in the image.

Make sure to keep the tape straight and level with the ground, not too tight or too loose.

Record your measurement by rounding to the nearest whole number.

There is nothing more ecofriendly than taking care of your garments so that they last longer.

UMA’s lingerie is designed to last, given the high quality of the fabrics and the sustainable materials. However, we need your help to keep it as good as new. Pamper your lingerie with our bests ways to wash bras recommendations.

Hand wash

We recommend that you wash your lingerie by hand with soap for delicate garments. Immerse the garment in cold water and let it soak for a few minutes, adding a little soap.

Do not rub the garment or use brushes to remove stains, this could damage the delicate lace. After a few minutes, rinse the garment and drain gently. Don't twist them! The lace and rubber bands could be damaged.

Machine wash

The fabrics we use allow machine washing at no more than 30 degrees. However, although we recommend hand washing, please follow our tips for machine washing your lingerie to help them last longer.

Remember that washing cold will damage your clothes less and use less energy.

It would be ideal to use a special mesh bag to wash underwear and use detergent for delicate underwear. Fasten bras so they don't snag or damage other clothes, and choose a special wash program for delicate sustainable clothing.

Do not use a dryer!

Let it dry in the open air on a clothesline or flat surface, avoiding pegs so that they do not leave a mark.

Take care of them

We must also be careful when folding and storing ... lingerie so as not to deform it. Store your bras fastened so they don't catch on other clothes.
